A Bow Window becomes a winter wonderland

Supplies

Books
Tin Foil
Polyester Craft snow
Pinecones various sizes
Snowmen various sizes
(Can substitute with any ornamentation)

Steps

1) Clear everything off of the bow window.

2) Take any books you have in the house and stack them in random order and height around the window. (This will create the different heights of your snowdrifts)

3) Cover the book stacks with tin foil (this helps to keep the stacks together as well as reflect light)

4) Rip the cotton snow into large pieces (hand ripping helps to create a natural drift look). Pull at the cotton so it stretches and starts to look softer.

5) Drape the cotton from one stack of books to the next. Allow for the cotton to naturally fall in between the stacks of books and continue layering until you get a snowdrift effect.

6) Tug and pull at the cotton until it looks like lightly fallen snow.

7) Arrange your snowmen and pinecones on the various book stacks. You may want to thin the cotton out on the book tops so pieces can sit properly. You can easily maneuver the cotton around the base of your objects so they nestle in the snow.

8) Optional-Use other ornaments including lighted villages, dolls or santas to create you own wonderland.
