Birch Taper Candle Holders

Birch branch 3 inches thick, 1½ feet long Birch twigs 2 regular, 2 Y shaped 5 red taper candles Hand Saw |
Drill w/ 1" drill bit 10 nails Hammer |

Steps
1) Cut branch into one 12" long log and four 1" thick cuts.
2) Drill 3 holes in 12" birch log, 1" deep at 2", 6" and 10", set aside. 3) Take the two smaller cut pieces and drill a hole thru each of them. 4) Take the two larger cut pieces and at one end drill a ¼" hole. 5) Cut two twigs into 5" lengths, cut two Y shaped twigs 3" in length 4) Taking the cut pieces, nail together the smaller piece to the larger piece. Place Y shaped twig in the ¼" hole 5) Affix regular twigs to base of 12"branch with nails. 6) Turn over and place taper candles in the holes. |
