Michelle Carano is the designer of HGTV's new hit show 'Rip and Renew'. The show, which is mix of architecture and design, gives Michelle and carpenter James Lunday the opportunity to create unique spaces in many different styles.
Michelle studied design in New York City at the famed Parsons The New School with a concentration in Interior Design and Architecture Studies. That training combined with her years of performing created a perfect fit for HGTV.
As a performer Michelle has been seen in television shows, films and commercials, and on stage in off-broadway, regional and national touring productions. Michelle's approach to design is not to impose her design preferences on a client but to interpret their ideas and create a space that reflects who they are.
